Club Abandon is an “anti-school” for the study of creative freedom. It exists to provide a playful and non-judgmental space where we feel free to experiment, unlearn our cultural conditioning, and encourage each other’s exploration.
Club Abandon workshops function as an open studio for creative process—focusing on removing inhibitions, questioning assumptions, and building sustainable creative habits. Emphasis is placed on exploration over evaluation, with no expectations regarding outcomes.
Workshops incorporate lessons, group discussion, and hands-on exercises widely applicable to creative media. Participants will engage with a range of creative prompts and methodologies, examining how external forces—historical, cultural, and institutional—have shaped their approach to making art. Rather than critique, sessions prioritize curiosity, exploration, and mutual support.
Duncan (she/they) is a creative systems thinker dedicated to building supportive community. Integrating artistic expression with structured problem-solving, she has curated art exhibitions, released music, published poetry, and led a team of software engineers. She draws on her interdisciplinary background to create thoughtful and permissive spaces for those like her—recovering perfectionists, self-doubters, and would-be freaks looking to belong.
